Bob Matthews

Founder

Bob Matthews started the company in 1991 after he left the construction & farming industries to pursue his entrepreneurial vision of starting a mobile, commercial-vehicle repair company that specialized in fleet management.

From these humble beginnings, and with over 40 years of fleet servicing experience, Bob has grown the company into a full-service fleet management company serving the entire Vehicle Life Cycle, from the minute a vehicle is purchased, to the day it is retired. This includes a full-service truck shop, trailer shop, automotive shop, fabrication shop, and a paint and body shop.

Bob built the Matthews Motors brand up by focusing on two core principles: to take care of people and to get the job done right.

Bob is the husband of Tanya. He enjoys spending time with his 3 grandkids and having fun operating equipment. He also enjoys working with different manufactures in helping innovate new products for truck & equipment industries.

Aaron Matthews

CFO

Aaron serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Matthews Motors. In this role, he provides strategic financial leadership and direction to the Matthews Enterprise businesses. Aaron also serves as the Sales Director and creates custom work-ready truck solutions for various industries.

Aaron has 13+ years of Accounting, Tax & Audit experience. He also brings 10+ years of leadership, integrity and in-depth knowledge of fleet sales & dealer operations.

Aaron has both a Bachelor’s and Masters of Accounting and a CPA. He also has a Master’s Degree in Dealer Management from the ATD Dealer Academy where he served as president of his class. He is actively involved in various groups such as Leadership Augusta, American Institute of CPAs, Georgia Society of CPAs, and I.N.G. (Industrial Networking Group) Augusta Chapter.

Aaron takes pride in guarding the company’s culture while creating an environment that empowers others to excel.

Aaron is the husband of Tara and father of Peyton and Aly Kate. He enjoys being with his family, golf, UGA football, working out, and reading books.

Austin Matthews

CEO
Austin is an innovator, leader, entrepreneur, and a dealer management expert who has been with Matthews Motors for 15 years. His unique career path of starting “at the entry level” in fleet services has allowed him to experience every aspect of a fleet management company from technician to C-Suite.

Since becoming COO in 2018, Austin has helped the organization to double in size in just over three years.

Austin has a degree in Business Administration and a Technical Degree in Automotive Technology as well as a Master’s Degree in Dealer Management from the ATD Dealer Academy.

Austin believes in creating companies that partner with their employees, train and educate them, empower them, and provide long-term career development for them. Austin has started other technology companies to assist the Matthews Enterprise businesses.

Austin is the husband of Lauren and the father of Mason. He enjoys golfing, beach volleyball, learning, and building businesses.
